THIS IS HOW WE DO IT

The feelings, thoughts, and reflections of Justin De Leon

In spirit of finals week (I can’t believe the quarter is ending already), I’d like to share some of my traditions, superstitions, and what you can call… rituals?

-Before every exam I listen to T.I.’s “What You Know” and “Bring ‘Em Out”
-I have clothes that I deem lucky.
-I never study late into the night before, I cut it off at like around 5 or 6 PM and call it good, then usually spend the rest of the night watching a movie, playing guitar, or playing video games.
-Immediately after an exam I throw my headphones on and blast them, I hate hearing about an exam right after it gets out, I don’t care what you got for question 4 and I don’t want to tell you what I got for question 15.
-I do a set of practice problems right beforehand to give myself a mental warm up, it’s usually in the Suzzallo Reading Room.
-I never leave an exam early, no matter how quickly I finish it unless I have something I really have to do after. (Like I had to take the ferry back after my Italian final today).

On that note, good luck everybodyyyyy!
